Westlake Floor Covering was founded in 1965 by Bill and Barb Hayden out of the family home and was soon after relocated to an off-premise workplace in Westlake, Ohio. Rick Hayden, Bill and Barb's son, joined the family business in 1975. In 1984 they moved again to their current North Olmsted location and were joined by Rick's brother Jim in 1988. We met with Rick recently, and listened as he provided this overview of Westlake Floor Covering's services and offerings;
Westlake Floor Covering carries a full line of vinyl, wood, laminate, and ceramic tile flooring, in addition to laminate, solid surface, and granite countertops. We offer custom designed kitchen and bath remodeling services and the majority of our business is from referrals given by previous customers. Our service area is primarily the west side of Cleveland, although we also handle projects on Cleveland's east side and in Medina County.
As a small, family owned and operated business we meet with our customers to determine their needs and objectives, and although we have a few installers working for us, most of the work is done by my brother and myself. We strive to provide our customers with a comfort level that far exceeds their expectations. Our materials are selected from some of the leading names in the industry, and we are proud of the reputation we have built for the quality of our workmanship.
